Please participate! Metro Nashville is looking at ways to improve Dickerson Road, and Metro’s Planning Staff is looking for input and feedback on our community’s long-range vision for this important road. The study area encompasses all of Dickerson Road that transects District 5 from Kingston St/Sultana Ave to Spring St and into our neighborhood.
There are some important dates to remember –
- Monday, Jan 28 – 5:30pm – Visioning Session – Howard Office Building, Sonny West Room (700 Second Ave S)
- Tuesday, Jan 29 – 1:30pm – 3:30pm – Open Design Studios – Trinity United Methodist Church (204 E Trinity Lane)
- Wednesday, Jan 30 – 10:00am – 12:00 noon – Open Design Studios – Trinity United Methodist Church (204 E Trinity Lane)
- Thursday, Jan 31 – 5:30pm – Work-in-Progress recap and feedback – Trinity United Methodist Church (204 E Trinity Lane)
What sorts of thoughts does the Planning Staff want to hear? The want to hear ideas for street improvements, new buildings, current and future land use, improving walking and biking rights-of-way and lanes, parks and green spaces, etc.
Like our neighborhood charrette, neighbor input is crucial to guide the Planning Staff as they work on their presentation and recommendations to the Planning Commission.
