As Chairperson of our neighborhood association, one of my goals is to improve neighbor awareness of rezoning cases in our neighborhood. To that end, I will endeavor to update the information in the document linked below as I learn of new applications, Commission decisions, and Council actions.

While individuals may support or object to specific cases, this information is intended to just provide background and current information as it becomes known. Should anyone hear, see, or learn of any new applications and cases, please alert me so I may add them to the list.
Engagement in the process is critical regardless of your personal position. While personal appearances before Planning or Council can be the most effective way to communicate your support or objection, there are other means of letting the appropriate body know of your position.
To email the Planning Commission, send comments to planning.commissioners@nashville.gov. Emails must be received no later than noon on the day of their meeting. If you wish to present a printed copy of your comments to the Commission directly, you may deliver them in person or via mail to Metro Planning Department, 800 2nd Avenue South, P.O. Box 196300 ,Nashville ,TN 37219-6300. I would recommend ensuring the documents will arrive the day before their meeting. If you plan to present documents/comments at the actual Commission meeting, you will need to bring 15 copies to be distributed. Any comments received by the deadlines will become part of the public record for the case.
Once a case is forwarded to Metro Council, it will be presented for a vote three times. A public hearing will be held at the second reading of the bill. While contacting our Councilmember (or at-large or other district representatives) is helpful, please note that the only way to officially enter your comments into the public record for the bill is to personally request inclusion of printed comments during your 2-minute comment period during the public hearing.
This level of community engagement is time-consuming, but it can make a difference.
