A hearty thank you to Andrea Fowler, Veda Rainey, and Rachel Peiffer for all their diligent work organizing this event! Another hearty thank you is extended to William and Nate for manning the grill so we could chow down on some tasty burgers and dogs!
Our best count had about 70-75 people dropping in to socialize, share in the meal, and enjoy the park. Tom Joy Park is truly a little gem in our neighbor, and it was a gorgeous afternoon for such an event.
There were plenty of activities to keep the kids busy although Big Jenga quickly became building blocks. Backpacks and pencils were available for the kids to have, and boy did they appreciate those donations! Thank you to everyone who provided these items!
We hope to make this event an annual one. Please feel free to provide any feedback on what you’d like to see us do again or do differently!
